getFilename.GenericDataFile

Gets the filename of the file

Gets the filename of the file.

getFilename(this, ...)

Optional arguments passed to *getPathname().

The filename of a file is the pathname excluding any path. For instance, the filename of path/to/foo,a.2,b.ext is foo,a.2,b.ext.

Returns a character string (NA if an "empty" file).
